NitroPDF

Makers of the free (though ad-supported) PrimoPDF. Convert just about any document to an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format with this utility.

PrimoPDF has always been free. However in recent years NitroPDF began including OpenCandy in the installation program.

Microsoft and other anti-virus vendors have flagged OpenCandy as adware. They claim that certain versions of OpenCandy scan your system and send identifibiable information to their server without adequate consent from you.

OpenCandy changed they way they do business and deny they are doing anything more than targeting an advertisement to you durning the installation. Microsoft doesn't consider the OpenCandy version in PrimoPDF adware.

Nonetheless, I feel this development is worth a big disclaimer.
